Why Teacher Pay Teachers: Teacher Pay Teachers is an amazing tools to assist educators and provide creative materials. I chose TPT because it's a tool that I've heard a lot about but never researched myself. As a future educator I wanted to learn more about the site and see what it has to offer.
What is Teacher Pay Teachers: TPT is an online resource program for teachers to share and connect ideas with other educators. It allows them to share lesson plans, worksheets, course content, and games that target a range of topics. It provides an online marketplace for educators to be compensated for their word and receive credit for their original ideas/work.
Use & Complexity level: The site is moderately easy to navigate. The complexity level ranges depending on the way material and plans are laid out. Some teachers may have made all materials read-to-use but others may have made their content more complex to follow. When it comes to purchasing material the site makes it easy to find specific subjects and filter through resources. It allows sellers to label and market their product to stand out to other sellers and buyers.
Versatility: TPT is very versatile for educators as it provides a range of material for a range of education levels (K-higher Ed). It's best suited and created for educators to provide detailed instruction to students. This is a resource site for teachers not students.
Classroom use of Teacher pay Teachers: TPT is used to structure interactive, engaging, and tailored content for classrooms. It provides access to a range of tools to uplift classrooms in various aspects. Filling curriculum gaps. providing tools to organize the classroom, and layout activities/ assignments or assessments.
Connection(s): This tool connects to the SMAR framework as it enhances and transforms teaching practices, connecting to all levels of the SMAR framework. At the substitution level it replaces the transnational version of presenting materials to the class, making content downloadable. Augmentation, as it improves efficacy in the classroom and for teachers lesson plans. The site allows for modifications to be made for materials, teachers can adjust content to suit their class level and aim for the learning task. Finally, TPT redefines learning experiences by creating and sharing digital resources globally for all types of educators and to suit and transform a variety of classrooms.

Hi Kimberly! I think you did a great job of explaining Teacher pay teachers. I have heard of this application, but I did not know about the benefits of this technology. I like that this technology offers access for teachers to share their ideas and work with each other. In addition, it gives teachers an opportunity to sell their ideas to other teachers. I believe it gives teachers an incentive to create high quality work. It is honestly both a win situation for both a buyer and seller of the work. I would use this platform to share my ideas with other teachers to show off my amazing work. Thank you for sharing.
