Blog Post #4: Quizlet_Live in the Classroom

Why Quizlet Live: Quizlet Live is an online tool that can be utilized as an educational technology for the classroom. I chose to research this site from professor Wang's "Week 3 Day 1 T3PP Technologies" presentation.

What is Quizlet Live: Quizlet Live is an interactive online game commonly used by educators to make a class study review fun and collaborative. It forces students to practice their teamwork skills, test their content knowledge, and engage their competitive spirits. Teachers can choose the subject matter they want to test and set up a game like content test that students can "play" on their devices independently or in groups.

Use & Complexity level: Quizlet Live is very user friendly! It can be accessed through a unique auto generated code which can be accessed with any device. Teachers can login into their accounts and create game questions related to content material and make it easily accessible for their students. Or they can use quizlets that have already been made by other users, for their convenience. Students can enter their unique code and join teams.

Versatility: Quizlet Live is indeed versatile, allowing students to collaborate and test their knowledge in a fun and competitive way. While allowing teachers to present content in a light and interactive way that enhances learning outcomes.

Classroom use of Quizlet Live: This site can be used to assist teachers in monitoring student comprehension of material and foster a positive learning environment. It allows for assessment evaluation, team building, and content clarification.

Connection(s): Quizlet Live connects to TLC tiers 2 and 3; Assessing and Instruction. It's an easily accessible and flexible tool that allows teachers to gauge, monitor, and assess student comprehension of content. It also allows teachers a moment to provide brief instruction and clarification of material.

  1. Hi Kimberly! Thank you for sharing this resource, I've heard of Quizlet before but not Quizlet Live. It reminds me a lot of Kahoot which is nice because many students are comfortable with that software. I like how students can collaborate with the resource and work together to test their knowledge.
